About is a place where you can find resources, ideas, and community in your efforts to keep yourself healthy and strong.  There is strong evidence that classrooms with experienced educators result in better learning for students.  So, we’d like to help you stick around longer. That goes for everyone who is an educator – public education, home school, higher ed, private tutors – all of us. is operated by Fran Bozarth as a part of the Institute for Educator Wellness, and is located in the greater Portland, Oregon metropolitan area.

Your comments and participation are welcome here. Only by working together can we strengthen educators, and make all of our educational systems a better place for all the participants.  The eventual goal is to form a non-profit organization for just that purpose, but for now, we are starting with a blog.

You are invited to participate in this  community, because we can only be at our best when we work together.  Our logo, a portion of a crazy quilt is representative of the ways in which we can all work together to create a cohesive whole.

Very cool ladies – nice to see you creating a space for self-care and wellness to be shared. It was a pleasure to have you both be part of my Awareness 101 community this past year. Fran and Melisa well done – I look forward to checking in on your site to keep the mojo going. Hope you are both enjoying your spring….ES
