Creative Writing Workshop for Teachers

May 9, 2010

Renewal is what summers are all about for educators.  Here’s an opportunity to renew yourself, if you’re in the Portland area this summer. The Attic Writer’s Workshop offers a number of really amazing writing classes.  This one in particular is for teachers.  I like that the focus is upon developing as a writer for the purpose of renewal.

The goal of the workshop is both to renew enthusiasm for your own creative writing and to generate original work. We will use writers’ lives to generate new pieces. The class will focus on “teachers as writers” with the understanding that renewed enthusiasm for one’s writing will be carried over into your classrooms and in turn help invigorate your student-writers.

Write Now! Creative Writing Renewal for Teachers is being held this summer, July 19 – 23.  While you are visiting this site, you might want to check out the Attic’s other writing classes.
